Purebliss Sensation - Retired F4 Bengal Queen
Purebliss Sensation is our little miracle girl, born during the storms of 2007.
No matter how we tried we couldn't stop the fear her mother felt at the thunder and lightening. Each of three kittens were born dead until this little lady popped out. Her mother closed up on her during birth and crushed her skull on one side which destroyed her left eye.
Delilah was incapable of looking after her daughter but Fili had just weaned her own kittens and so we offered her Sensation. Fili took this strange looking kitten to her bed and started to clean her up as if she was her own, cleaning the damaged face. Fili surprised us as she was usually eager to wean her own kittens early, but she nursed Sensation without a sign of weaning her. As Sensation grew we realised she had lost her left eye and she had a bad discharge from the socket, which Fili kept thoroughly clean.
Once she was old enough to withstand the operation her eye socket was removed and was sewn up. She still had an awful discharge and no one knew if this would ever stop. Sensation was still being looked after by Fili and gradually the discharge became less and came down her nose.
Once Fili was happy with Sensation's progress she weaned her completely and we didn't interfere as Fili had done such a wonderful job so fare.

Many would possibly disagree with us keeping Sensation as part of our breeding programme, but we discussed this at length with our veterinary surgeon. We could have found her a home easily but our concern was her lack of vision. Not only had she lost one eye but the vision of the other eye wasn't perfect, if she ever got out she would certainly be knocked down. Our apologies to the wonderful couple who wanted to give her a home but we just couldn't let her go anywhere else. She had to stay with us here at Purebliss - we love her - and she now lives with her mother Delilah. Delilah loves her daughter dearly, although everyone does. Whenever Sensation is with any of our other cats they all seem to love her as do we. Sensation is a very happy cat and spends her life with us, her mother and our other cats who seem to look after her. Even when she jumps on them by mistake because she hasn't seen them they don't seem to mind. They may snarl and hiss but once they realise its Sensation they seem to think its OK.
Sensations discharge has now almost stopped. We have shown close up photographs of her below for you to see how gorgeous our blue eyed snow (Seal Spotted Lynx) miracle girl is.
